Student Case Competition 2017 India
Management accountants are vital to the financial health of organizations. They make critical decisions, safeguard a company’s integrity, and plan for business sustainability.
IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is the worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals in business. Founded in 1919, IMA is one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession. They are committed to empowering the 80,000+ members — and those throughout the rest of the profession — to strengthen on-the-job skills, better manage companies, and accelerate careers. CMAs got presence in 140 countries, and more than 300 professional and student chapters across world.
We are inviting schools from India to take part in this exciting and challenging opportunity. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge in front of a panel of industry experts and:
Each campus of any school is eligible to select a team(s) of three to five members to determine the best solution for the management accounting case. Teams of students respond to a case by preparing and submitting a PowerPoint presentation to judges selected from IMA members. Although faculty members are encouraged to promote this competition on their campus, no faculty or other professional assistance is allowed in solving or presenting the case.
Eight finalist teams will compete and present in front of the industry experts. Each of the eight selected teams will personally present their case analysis solution and be required to respond to any additional questions on which they will be judged. The top 3 teams will receive a certificate of achievement.
The first, second and third place winners will receive engraved plaques with their School’s name and each team member’s name, in addition to the monetary award. The top 3 teams will also receive a certificate of achievement.
